How Much Profession Tax Do Employees Need to Pay?
Profession Tax is deducted based on monthly salary slabs:

✔ Employers must deduct PT from employee salaries and remit it before the 10th of the following month.
When Should the Annual Return Be Filed?
✔ All PT-registered employers must file an annual return within 60 days from the end of the financial year (i.e., by June 30).
✔ The return must detail salaries paid and PT deducted during the previous year.
Who is Exempt from Profession Tax?
Certain individuals are exempt from paying profession tax, including:
✅ Senior Citizens (65+ years)
✅ Salaried or wage-earning deaf & mute individuals
✅ Physically handicapped persons (40% disability & above, with a certified government medical report)
